Welcome to the Warwickshire County Golf Partnership, a strategic alliance between the Warwickshire Union of Golf Clubs (WUCG), the Warwickshire Ladies County Golf Association (WLCGA) and the Warwickshire PGA
Our sole aim is to introduce more people in Warwickshire to the game, irrespective of age, gender or background. This year's activities have included our 'Get into Golf' months at the start of the season which have already encouraged over 400 men, women and children to give golf a go and take advantage of the free ‘ taster’ golf lessons on offer.
WARWICKSHIRE'S GOT TALENT!
Now we've launched an initiative to develop a county wide coaching programme aimed at identifying and encouraging talented junior golfers. The programme is aimed at boys and girls aged 7 - 15 years, who have talent and interest, but who are not part of the present County squad coaching programme.
The programme swings into action with a series of Open Talent Assessment Days from 26 - 28 October 2009 and involves a two hour session of coaching and assessment run by county coaches. Sessions will be split into long game, short game and putting with skills challenges. If you know of a junior golfer who could benefit from this initiative, please encourage them to register by downloading and completing the form below for one of the Open Talent Assessment Days
